A little time
So I woke up with my standard time buffer, 50 minutes. That usually gives me time to shower, eat, brush my teeth, and get dressed. Oops. I’m not allowed to eat and I’m wearing PJs… ummm blog? So first I have to say thank you for all of the support you have given me in the last 36 hours, this experience has been truly nuts (sorry about the Oscars intro). And seriously I don’t think that theme is about to let up. I’m about to let some guys gas me, put me to sleep, pull my leg out of it’s normal resting place, cut a few holes in it, stick a camera and set of tools into my hip socket, and they they’re going to go to town. While Dr. Huang was explaining some of this to me yesterday, I couldn’t help but think about the profound weirdness of the procedure. I mean, people 500 years ago who were getting craneotomy’s probably had the same faith in their docs. These guys are just straight up rad though, and this is no craneotomy. Game face time, got to go make friends with that anesthesiologist!
p.s. I can’t tell you how much your notes and calls mean. THANK YOU!
