Whirlwind
Today was crazy. I spent close to six hours getting things taken care of for my surgery tomorrow. I had a new MRI taken, blood analysis and a physical therapy session. I met with the surgical nurse, the pre surgical nurse, the athletic trainer, the surgical coordinator, the insurance coordinator, the admissions counselor, the crazy nurse in the room with no windows, Dr. Philippon, Dr. Huang, their visiting docs, the girl who gives you crutches, the guy who gives you the ice cooler. And I met at least four other people who had/have the same issue as me. I feel like I have family now, people who can relate to me and my struggles. We can so easily glide into a conversation of frustrations, wants, motivations, and passions. This week will be painful, tomorrow will be painful. But the week is also full of hope. For recovering and for healing. For friendship and for perseverance through pain.
