running home.
If you’re a runner you’ve probably heard about Dean Karnazes. If you’re not, you may have. If you’re a runner you may have drawn opinions about Dean that can be described as a little negative. I’ve heard people complain that he’s not doing it for running, he’s doing it for the glory, yadda yadda. Hell, I’ve even felt it a bit at times. But after watching the video below, and reading some of his blog - I’ve realized that all that stuff is a bunch of crap, and honestly, it’s really a slew of jealousy. So what, Dean gets a lot of hype, but he’s doing things we never dreamed of, and if we have dreamed of it, we’ve never acted on it.
Dean just finished his 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 days tour. Pretty rad huh? Then day 51 he didn’t know what to do, so he ran the NY City marathon backwards. Then, day 52, He ran another. And on day 53 he decided to run home from NY to San Francisco. That is downright insipiring (as if his 50 marathons wasn’t). Watch this film and see if a tear comes to your eye. He’s changing the lives of many with running. What are you doing?
