Feminism and Me
Another interesting read from the NYTimes Magazine; it conjured all sorts of thoughts up, confirmed a few suspicions, and confused me a bit more about the subleties of the interactions between women and men. It discusses the basic ideas around the progression of the feminist movement, and its role in society today. Most interesting though is the thought that women today (yes, I have thrown all women into one category for the purposes of this entry, please forgive me) are largely reverting back to the thoughts and notions of the 50’s. But of course there some of the ideals of the first wave of feminism have stuck around.. Read it, It’s going to take you a few minutes, but well worth it. ARTICLE HERE.
