Circuit City has a sweet promotion going on this week. Strolling in, the first thing I saw was a table lined with 2-liter soda bottles. I read the sign, and couldn’t stop laughing. I have never particularly respected the huge electronic stores - Mostly because I’ve always thought the impressive variety of products they keep on the shelves restricts their salespeople from knowing any product too well. Nothing a little research can’t combat…but this promotion threw me over the top. I’m heading to Car Toys later today. What the heck happened to the free t-shirts and bobble-heads? Considering 7/10 American carry a balance on their cards, it’s not like they wouldn’t recoup the cost of that $5 t-shirt in the first month. I wonder how many apps they’ve received. Taken from the lens of my otherwise unimpressive camera phone - why not kill your credit for a free $0.79 bottle of soda?
