bolderBOULDER

48k strong, bTown was filled with all sorts today. From full blown gorilla costumes to elvis impersonators to church bands it sure is hard to meet a time goal while trying to soak in everything going on around town. I missed my goal by almost a minute. I can’t blame anything but the applesauce I [...]

Eat Right To Go Far.

After my latest muscle lapse (my calves hate me three days after an event) I’ve decided to start following the advice of those who know better. I’ll be posting links or scanned articles. Today’s link: “Eating for Endurance: What, When and Why” by Nancy Clark . Enjoy.

Google Personal Home Page

Google launched their personal home page service today: http://google.com/ig. You need a gmail account to activate it. If you need a gmail invitation just ask - and i’ll send one over. The service is pretty slick.

Brutal Honesty.

The NYTimes Magazine published an totally radical (in all meanings of the word) article in their most recent issue. Titled Building His Case (I think that’s supposed to be underlined - oh well), Architect Brad Cloepfil of Portland Oregon tells it how it is.
His interview reminded me of a scene in “In Good Company” [...]

Short shorts.

Utter awe. For two hours - My mind just kept reeling on how great the Dash-n-Dine was. Dash-n-Dine? Yeah, 200 hundred people rolled out of Boulder to Coot Lake to run a 5k and then have some burgers afterwards. It was truly incredible. I can’t imagine too many other towns who have weekly races with [...]

pre fab

You can’t help but to appreciate designmobile.com. Not just the rockin’ design that purports the content but the content as well. This lady is doing some crazy stuff with shipping containers. I think I might like to live in one of her creations some day.
the good stuff: architecture > projects > ?

Climb That.

In preparation for the PPA my father thought that I ought to try jogging up the Manitou Springs Incline. Ha. Let’s call it a power walk/scramble (my legs got much assistance from my arms). It’s the first time in awhile that I can remember my leg muscles giving out before I lost my breath. But [...]

Different Side of Film.

I discovered a new site (www) over the weekend. StudentFilms.com. It’s good stuff. A few years back I was involved in developing a web portal for college films/art/photography. But the project never left my university mostly because of a lack of funding. But that’s where my passion for film started to develop. People are weird [...]
