My iPod Scuffle, Part II

A marvelous little machine. Much better for running & biking than the mini. I could slip it in my pocket and hardly know it was there. On a distance run, you couldn’t ask for anthing better. Well, i suppose one could ask for one thing - a weather proof iPod shuffle. After three weeks of ownership, I ran into a rather cumbersome problem. Maybe my use of the past tense has tipped you off - the damned thing was so small and unnoticeable that i forgot to take it out of my pocket after a run last Saturday. Yep, yours truly washed his new little toy. I washed it with my darks on a two rinse, warm cycle. Ironically the iPod came out a pale tint, no longer pure white.

You might be wondering why i’ve waited a whole week to announce such a crucial development in my life. Be honest with yourself here - do you jump at every opportunity to share with the world your faults? Uh-uh.

Now i’ve known for quite sometime that I’m a careless fool, but usually regarding trivial things: keys, wallet, ski-pass, hats, socks, etc. Never before have I thrown away $150. But hey, that’s what life’s about, right? New experiences. I’ll keep you posted on the quality of Apple’s 90-day warranty, not that i’m expecting anything…
